Are you looking for a wedding photographer in Montpellier?

Stay calm on your couch, everything will be fine!

You’ve already found the venue. Check!

The caterer – you have two options left to compare. Almost check!

The photographer? That’s where things get blurry. Literally!

You’re on your 42nd website, and the photos all look the same, as do the descriptions. Deep down, you know it’s not just about aesthetics. It’s about trust, experience, and emotions.

You’re not just looking for a photographer, you’re looking for someone who will capture the most precious moments of your big day without ever taking center stage.

In summary, you are looking for:

– More than just a wedding photographer: an ally, almost a friend (who knows where to stand without getting in Aunt Josiane’s way).

– Photos that tell a story, your story, with love, simplicity, and accuracy.

– A sincere, emotional, but not intrusive gaze. A natural presence, a human approach.

Good news: you may have just found your wedding photographer in Montpellier and throughout South of France.

Why is it not so easy to find a wedding photographer?

Because a photographer isn’t just “someone who takes beautiful pictures.”

You don’t want to pose in front of the camera every five minutes. You’re not models (and that’s a good thing). You don’t want to relive your wedding through stiff, clichéd, or forced photos.

You want to live this unique day to the fullest, laugh, cry, dance, be surprised, be yourselves. And later, remember all those precious moments, every emotion and every moment of life that marked this great and memorable day.

You want unforgettable memories, because this day will never come again.

You want to relive your wedding through photography, to feel once again the emotion of that exchange of glances, the energy of the celebration, the tender gestures of your loved ones.

Me? I’m Thibault, a wedding photographer in Montpellier…

… in South of France and throughout the galaxy. I specialize in natural weddings, sincere photojournalism, and emotionally charged images.

My goal? To create memories through real, candid images in a simple and authentic style. And that’s what I love: natural, spontaneous photos… that are also sublime, because we have the right to have both.

As an attentive photographer, I also enjoy working with families and professionals. Photo shoots at home or in a garden in Montpellier, future parents wanting to immortalize a pregnancy, or companies that want authentic images of their daily lives.

All of this feeds my vision, sharpens my eye for detail, and helps me tell your story accurately.

What I offer you:

Images that have heart (and brains too, I promise).

  • Full coverage on the big day (and beyond, if desired), capturing every key moment of your wedding, from the preparations to the dance floor.
  • One or more in-person or video meetings before the wedding to get to know you (and why not your witnesses too!).
  • Couple and day-after sessions to create real memories and complete the wedding day experience.
  • Books, online gallery, unforgettable memories sorted with love (not 1,400 blurry photos, but a carefully curated selection).

My approach?

Being “a guest who taking pictures,” as my brides and grooms would say. I blend into your wedding to reveal what matters most: your bonds, your loved ones, your love, in a natural, elegant, and spontaneous style.

These diverse experiences enrich my ability to anticipate the right moments, to listen, and to adapt to the rhythm of each day. Because every wedding is unique.

Am I the right photographer for you?

My goal is to blend in so I can better capture the real moment. I work discreetly, with kindness, and a keen sense of timing (thanks to years of reporting experience).

My wedding galleries are full of happy couples. But above all, I create faithful, emotional, and vivid memories with you. I document your story, your life, and your emotions, without artifice. Simple, sensitive, human photos.

But I think they speak for themselves best:

“The term ‘wedding reportage’ perfectly describes Thibault’s work. It’s not staged, it’s not cliché, it’s natural, colorful, and beautiful.”

Wedding photographer Montpellier – Rates, availability, and contact details?

My approach as a photographer is tailor-made.

Every wedding has its own energy, its own story.

I work on a daily basis, sometimes over several days if you wish (preparations, the evening before the wedding, brunch the next day, etc.).

I only take on a few weddings per year so that I can devote time to you before, during, and after.

My rates are presented during our first meeting, either via video call or over coffee if you are in the area.
We talk about you, your project, and your desires.

And if the feeling is right, we move forward together.

Frequently Asked Questions – Wedding Photographer Montpellier

Do you travel outside of Montpellier?

Yes, I photograph weddings throughout Hérault, Occitanie and sometimes further afield. Every destination brings its own light, emotion and energy.

Can we have an engagement session before the wedding?

Absolutely! A couple session, a day-after shoot or a romantic stroll through the streets of Montpellier — anything is possible. A walk along the Lez, a sunset on the beach… let your instincts decide! 😉

Are the photos retouched?

Every delivered image is carefully edited: light, contrast, tone. I make sure to preserve the atmosphere and intention of the scene. No filters. No artificial retouching. Just what it takes to enhance the moment.

What are the wedding venues near Montpellier in Hérault?

There are many venues in Hérault well worth exploring. Vineyards, stone farmhouses, châteaux… the options are plentiful. Here are the ones I know well and where I have had the opportunity to work:

  • Mas Hinaiti, 34070 Montpellier. In the heart of the city, with its pool and shaded park. Perfect for a Sunday brunch.
  • Domaine des Moures, 34750 Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone. A sea view for your ceremony? Look no further!
  • Domaine le Petit Malherbes, Aimargues 30470. Technically in the Gard, but only 45 minutes from Montpellier.
  • Mas de Coulet, Brissac 34190. An elegant and charming estate, well worth the trip.
  • Château Saint Martin de Graves, 34320 Pézenas. An idyllic setting in the heart of the vineyards.

How long does it take to deliver the photos?

I deliver previews within 72 hours — a selection of the best moments from the day (preparations, ceremony, couple photos), delivered quickly so you can share them with your loved ones and guests as early as the day after tomorrow.
Allow an average of 2 to 6 weeks to receive the full gallery.

Can we see complete wedding reports?

Yes, on request or in the stories section, where I regularly publish full wedding galleries. During our meeting, I take the time to show you a complete gallery from start to finish. And even a book!

Do you offer photo albums?

Yes. I offer high-end photo books and durable, elegantly finished albums — objects designed to last, with particular care given to layout and materials. For me, it matters to be able to hold your story in your hands and pass it on.

Do you only do wedding photography?

It is indeed my speciality. I also offer: studio portraits, aerial drone photography, and photo shoots and reportage for professionals.

Where to have a photo session in Montpellier?

Montpellier is particularly well-suited for a couple’s photo session before the wedding, on the wedding day, or afterwards during a Day-After or Trash the Dress session. With its historic heritage, unique alleyways and the sea so close by, there is no shortage of backdrops. Here are the spots I recommend:

  • Place de la Canourgue — Near the Saint-Pierre Cathedral.
  • The Arc de Triomphe.
  • Promenade du Peyrou.
  • Jardin des Plantes.

For those who prefer the seaside, head to the Plage de l’Espiguette (in Le Grau-du-Roi) and the Plage du Pilou (in Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone).

Weddings in the South of France, around Montpellier

Based near Montpellier, I photograph weddings throughout the South of France.

Many of the couples I work with choose to get married just a few kilometres away, in places that really speak to them. That’s why I regularly work around Pézenas and Nîmes, two towns close to Montpellier, with very different atmospheres, between Mediterranean light and more historic settings.

I also work in more discreet locations around Montpellier, such as Lunel, Saint-Jean-de-Védas, Mauguio and Lattes. These are lesser-known, sometimes more intimate places, chosen for a specific reason: a family connection, a personal history, a desire for simplicity. The location matters, of course, but what interests me above all is what happens there.
